Empty Wrap

17 Nov

A literal title and quite a literal entry. It is a rare occasion that I use humour as the foundation of an entry. But the empty wrap made me chuckle. The temperature gauge in our large building read 30 C at lunchtime and the kids and I were sweltering. One of my boys appeared in front of me with a big grin and his hands held out. The workers at the canteen had given him a pita wrap, complete with spread margarine. But alas, no chicken strip or salad inside. We both chuckled and chortled at the fact that the wrap…was wrapped…perfectly only with nothing inside. With the sapping heat we were almost delirious, but it made me think that today it was a good place to be.
