Immigrating Fare

Driving home today I became stuck at another set of lights in the town. The Afghan food restaurant across the way got me thinking…only because we are investigating multiculturalism with the students at school. So many delicious and interesting foods have been brought out by immigrants to this country; and countless other places of course. But I thought to myself, what could we classify as true Australian fodder? Do we have to go back to the pavlova or the meat pie? Surely there is more to our culinary history? Thoughts…
