Nifty with a napkin…

P100

I joined my colleagues for a work dinner at a delicious Indian restaurant in town this evening. As I sat down at the table I found myself thinking about those neatly folded napkins in front of me. They always remind me of the sails of a ship or perhaps the Sydney Opera House. My colleague next to me noticed that her napkin was unfolded and proceeded to ‘refold’ her napkin into the required shape perfectly. She explained that she had worked in a Chinese restaurant some years ago. We pondered over where this custom started and which culture began the great ‘sail’ fold of the napkin. Any thoughts?
I pinched a pic before my colleague used the napkin and added a mirror copy with the help of LunaPic.
